ICM 2006 http://www.icm2006.org

This year we have ICM in Madrid, Spain. ICM is the biggest conference held in Mathematics every 4th year. In ICM only, the Fields Medal (the Noble Prize equivalent) are announced and given away. This years ICM is in the last week of August. The biggest news is that the next ICM will be held in INDIA in 2010. We are very proud of being given this honour. Controling some 6000 odd mathematicians will be a tough job for our considerably small population of mathematicians in our country.
